This copper relief of Ganesha has a strong presence, with the deity framed by carefully worked ornamental details, hammering the design out from the reverse side so the form rises off the surface. The metal itself carries the weight of the piece as a warm, aged, tactile in a way a flat painting can't be. As a copper relief rather than a painting, this one works outside the usual wall-of-paintings arrangement as a well suited near an entrance, a study, or a puja space where its texture and metal surface can be seen up close.
