Surat has always been a city of movement, once India’s busiest port, where merchants, travellers, and craftsmen arrived from across the world. Today, its old quarters still carry traces of that history, intricately carved wooden houses, narrow pols, and colonial warehouses by the river. Our postcards capture the charm of Surat’s older neighbourhoods, where trade and tradition meet, and where the city’s layered history still lingers in its walls.
